Accessibility Compliance

Last updated: 1 May 2025

1. Our Commitment

Gospartan is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to comply with the EU Web Accessibility Directive (2016/2102) and the relevant provisions of Greek law transposing it.

We believe that access to information and services should be equal and barrier-free for everyone, regardless of ability, technology, or environment.

2. Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content may not fully meet the standard. We are actively working to improve these areas (see Section 5).

3. Built-in Accessibility Tools

Our website includes a built-in accessibility toolbar, accessible via the button on the right edge of every page. It provides the following tools:

  • Larger Text: Increases the base font size across the entire page by 20%, improving readability for users with low vision.
  • High Contrast: Switches the page to a high-contrast dark colour scheme (black background, white text, gold links) to improve legibility for users with visual impairments.
  • Grayscale: Removes all colour from the page, benefiting users with colour blindness or colour sensitivity.
  • Highlight Links: Applies a visible gold outline and background tint to all interactive links, making them easier to identify for users with cognitive or visual difficulties.

All accessibility preferences are saved locally in your browser and persist across page refreshes. No personal data is transmitted to our servers as a result of using these tools.

4. Technical Measures Implemented

The following accessibility measures have been applied throughout the website:

  • Semantic HTML5 elements used throughout (nav, main, section, footer, h1–h3, etc.).
  • All interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) have accessible labels via aria-label or associated <label> elements.
  • Keyboard navigation is fully supported — all interactive elements are reachable via Tab key.
  • Focus states are visible on interactive elements.
  • Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum of 4.5:1 for normal text.
  • Images that are decorative use aria-hidden="true" or empty alt attributes.
  • Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query (Framer Motion handles this natively).
  • The page language is declared in the HTML element (lang="en").
  • The website is fully responsive and functional at 320px viewport width and above.
  • Form inputs include placeholder labels and are associated with visible field descriptions.

5. Known Limitations

We are aware of the following areas where the website does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:

  • Driver portrait images: Placeholder image areas do not yet include descriptive alt text. This will be resolved when real photography is added.
  • Fleet vehicle images: SVG vehicle illustrations use presentational roles but do not include extended descriptions. Improvement is planned.
  • Contact form: The form is currently a static placeholder. When a live backend is connected, full ARIA live region feedback for submission status will be implemented.
  • PDF documents: No PDFs are currently published. Any future PDFs will be made accessible or provided in an alternative format.

6. Compatible Assistive Technologies

This website has been designed to be compatible with the following:

  • Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), TalkBack (Android).
  • Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse required).
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • High contrast operating system modes (Windows High Contrast, macOS Increased Contrast).
  • Modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two major versions).

7. Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you experience any barrier that prevents you from accessing content or using a feature, or if you find that something is not working as expected with assistive technology, please let us know.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to resolve significant barriers within 30 days wherever technically feasible.
